Watch those flags
Hi everyone !
I don’t pay attention to a lot of chart patterns, but flags are one of my favorites.
This was a big bear flag on NQ. The target was hit at 5612.75 which is 175.5 points from first resistance.

A “float-back” is my favorite set-up and has a high percentage of being a profitable trade.
Here’s the way to play it:
In the 4 hour NQ chart below, you’ll see how price dropped well under the 4379.75 support level but eventually started to float back towards the support level. Once it got there, take your entry long. In this case you would currently be +40 points simply by being patient.

You’ve probably noticed I’m no longer sending out the ES draws in the morning. The ES, at one time, was a great vehicle to trade but with the onslaught of HFT, super computer trading, etc it quickly became my least favorite instrument to follow.
I still sent out the ES info. in the mornings for well over 2 years but it’s come time to focus more on what I consider 2 of the most profitable instruments, the $TF_F and the $NQ_F. If you don’t trade these, I would advise you to give them a look.
I’ve also made changes to our group’s trading room that have helped us all become even more profitable. I’ll be doing a free day in the room soon to highlight those changes.
Thx,
Dave

This past Thursday China’s flash Markit/HSBC Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) came in at 49.6. When this number drops under 50, it signals an economy is no longer expanding. This appeared to be the catalyst that triggered the US markets pullback. And I think that’s all it is, a normal pullback.
Nat gas has ripped through the $5 level on the deep freeze sweeping the country. (2 charts below)
